Lender settings

Open Admin → Lenders → a lender card → Lender Settings. The page H1 is the lender name. The subtitle is Lender settings. Header tabs: Credit Products, Lender Settings (this page), and API. If the URL has no lender: Unable to infer lender from URL.

The shared builder publishes lender-overrides (master defaults merchants inherit as L rows). Merchant overrides are M on Calculator editor and Ecommerce modal settings.

Click path​

  1. Pick the lender on /lenders/. Snap, Humm, Klarna, PayPal, Propensio, and Zopa open a builder. Which lenders.
  2. Click Lender Settings. Accordions load: Styles, Ecommerce (Modal), Calculator, Finance Assistant, Quick-Start, Regulatory disclosure.
  3. Set Environment: Production (finmatch-p), Staging (finmatch-s), or Test (finmatch-t). This is a one-visit override. It does not change which bucket shoppers load.
  4. Expand an accordion. Ecommerce / Calculator show Mode (Embed / Popup), then Preview, Editor, Advanced. Hover a preview element to see its editor ID; click it to jump to that tile. Iframe title: FinMatch calculator preview.
  5. Edit, then Save in the page toolbar (grey until dirty). Cancel appears when dirty and discards the draft. Save writes the open Environment bucket only.

Save here does not rewrite a merchant M row. Open that merchant’s calculator / modal / FOS settings to override.

Styles​

Save styling writes lender-styling.json in the selected environment bucket. Cards: Lender logos, Price input field styling, Feature title (H1) styling, Quick-Start badge styling (3 colourways + 2 text schemes; shape is set per merchant), and Colour & text styles.

Font hint: Default for calculator and ecommerce modal unless a feature overrides it in the builder. Price-input hint: Applies to the shaded purchase amount box and its inline edit pencil across calculator and ecommerce modal (embed and popup). Toggle the pencil on/off in the Price input field feature tile. Logo hint: Use the Calculator and Modal feature builders to choose which logo appears in the preview (Lender logo 1 or 2). Hex hint: Tip: hex color fields accept #rrggbb. Saving updates lender-styling.json in the selected environment bucket.

Price-input fields: Field background, Input value background, Border colour, Border width, Box shadow, Edit pencil icon colour, Edit pencil hover colour. Placeholder e.g. 1px. H1 fields: Title size breakpoint (feature container px), Title font — fallback, Title font — compact (container < breakpoint), Title font — standard (container ≥ breakpoint), Font colour, Default alignment. Placeholder #rrggbb (blank = accent colour at runtime); compact blank = 28px; standard blank = fallback. Badge radii / font placeholders e.g. 6px, e.g. 999px, e.g. 12px. The feature container (calculator/modal box) controls line wrap. Below the breakpoint uses the compact title font; at/above uses the standard title. Content padding is Compact (comfortable) 15px at 350–419px, Compact (tight) 10px at 304–349px, and Standard 25px from 420px. Title copy and per-mode on/off are set in the Calculator / Modal feature builders.

Logos: Lender logo 1 URL, Lender logo 2 URL (optional). Badge: Badge logo URL 1 / Badge logo URL 2 / Badge logo URL 3. Empty badge-logo thumbs show no preview. URL placeholders are https://storage.googleapis.com/finmatch-shared/images/.... Logo URLs are selectable per style in the Quick-Start builder. If blank, the runtime falls back through lender logos. Badge size (lender default — not offered to merchants) options Small — 168 × 40 px / Medium — 202 × 48 px / Large — 210 × 50 px. Approximate W × H for typical "Flexible finance" copy + logo. Merchants inherit this size. Fieldsets Text colour schemes (shared across all 3 styles) (Scheme 1 text colour / Scheme 2 text colour), Shape radii (merchant picks badge vs pill shape) (Badge shape corner radius (top corners) / Pill shape radius), Style 1 colourway / Style 2 colourway / Style 3 colourway (Background colour / Font size).

Font presets: Plus Jakarta Sans, Montserrat (Regular), Montserrat Medium, Montserrat Bold. Feature-tile Font override (optional) uses Use lender styling default. Styles H1 / badge font selects use Use calculator default. Quick-Start styling has Shared badge font family. Editor toolbar Collapse all / Expand all. Unused tiles: Show hidden features. While editing, a hidden tile shows Restore (hover Return to main builder list) and a visible tile shows Hide (hover Move to hidden section). Drag-handle hover: Drag to reorder.

Embed Default price (£) (Calculator / Modal editor): Use dynamic price when available on page. Hint: Default price is the merchant fallback. With dynamic on, a detected page price is used when available; otherwise this default, then the lender default.

Mode is Embed or Popup. Preview / Editor match the merchant Calculator editor and Ecommerce modal settings. Preview hint: Hover over feature elements to reveal their editor ID. Click feature element to jump to edit mode. The live calculator iframe title is FinMatch calculator preview.

Preview width simulator (same merchant-calc bands as the merchant calculator): Too narrow (Below the Compact floor (feature under 304px).), Compact layout (Includes a breakpoint at 349px feature (381px merchant column and below).), Standard layout (Default padding and typography.), Maximum width (The end of the standard range.). Details table Preview width details with Breakpoint / Comfortable columns (Tight is shorter than eight characters). Compact rows: Preview column, Finance feature width (382–451px / 336–381px / 350–419px / 304–349px), Feature content padding, Default field font size. Clipped: Below floor, Compact starts at. Padding note As above − 32px padding (16px each side). Slider chrome: Preview column width, Column width ranges, and the Finance feature readout. The slider resizes Finance feature, Calculator, and Enquiry previews together.

When Template mode is Non-regulated, the preview can show Non-regulated FOS mode. Disclosure copy uses the simplified lender schema. If disclosure is preview-only: Non-regulated FOS mode. Regulatory disclosure is shown in this preview only — enable Regulatory disclosure text in the toggles below to publish it on the storefront.

Feature tiles: Click Edit on this panel to change the label template. and Click Edit on this panel to change the row label. Finance table group: Shaded with this lender’s finance table colour. Use In table on eligible tiles — assigned elements sit in this group and render as rows in the preview. Initial payment VAT: Required for Aldermore — this toggle stays on and cannot be disabled. or Optional for most lenders. Preview shows N/A unless the lender logic calculates VAT on the purchase amount. Aldermore keeps this locked on.

Tile fields: Title text, Logo to display (Lender logo 1 / Lender logo 2), Text alignment, Alignment override (optional), Show calendar icon, Calendar icon URL, Show edit pencil icon. Placeholder Paste icon URL — leave blank to hide icon. Label placeholder e.g. Choose your amount. Default price placeholder e.g. 2000.

Tile hints: Shows the centred FinMatch logo at the bottom of the finance feature. Feedback: Controls the footer feedback icon, the “To leave feedback click here.” line in regulatory disclosure, and the FinMatch closing sentence. Saved per feature and mode — use Save on this panel to persist. Logo: Logo URLs are configured in Lender Styling above (logo URL 1 / logo URL 2). or Choose which lender logo to show. Logo files are managed by FinMatch. Select payment: Section heading with optional calendar icon (same layout as live modal). Pencil: Icon colours are set in Lender styling above under Price input field styling (editPriceIconColor / editPriceIconHoverColor). Applies to calculator and ecommerce modal in embed and popup.

How to apply header: Section heading and optional cart icon above the checkout diagram. Fields Section title, Show cart icon, Cart icon URL. Image: Checkout diagram image. Default asset and Diagram image URL. Preview: open image. Steps empty No steps yet. Add step. Colour: Bullet colour uses Lender styling above (bulletColor / bulletTextColor). or Step numbers use the lender brand colours.

First payment due empty: Assign credit products to this lender to configure timing from transaction_events offsets. With products: Timing comes from credit product transaction_events (offset_value / offset_unit, or deferred-period interval). Timing source event with Auto (first timed event in product). List Transaction events (sample product); empty No transaction events on sample product.

Transaction-event row labels: Event name (rate card default). Regular payment: Use custom label template, 1. Prefix (e.g. Then), 2. Term token (instalment count) ({term} — full term (e.g. 11) / {term-1} — term minus one (e.g. 10)), 3. Suffix (after the term) (placeholder monthly payments of), Row preview. Other events: Use custom row label, Row label (include a trailing: if you want one). Use event name clears a custom override. Sample hints: Preview uses the selected product's event_name when custom label is off. and When custom label is off, the preview/storefront uses the selected product's event_name.

Changes here are lender defaults. A merchant M row is not rewritten on lender Save.

Finance Assistant​

Stage title is Finance Assistant — Calculator (or Enquiry / Bon Voyage / Email). Stage nav Finance Assistant stages: Calculator stage, Enquiry stage, Bon Voyage stage, Email stage. The accordion subtitle is Core logic: finance-assistant.js, enquiry-page.js, bon-voyage.js (linked above the stack).

Enquiry-stage builder: This controls the.financeAssistant settings used by Finance Assistant (enquiry page + bon voyage). Use the page Save / Cancel to publish or discard lender-overrides. Panel title Finance Assistant config. Sections Finance summary fields (empty: No finance summary fields available.), Contact form fields (empty: No contact fields available.), and Start button. Summary and contact-field drag-handle hover: Drag to reorder. Start-button accordion Start finance application button with placeholder Button text and Button style 1 / Button style 2. Calculator-stage builder: Finance Assistant calculator stage inherits from the selected calculator mode (Embed/Popup). Bon Voyage-stage builder: Preview the post-submission “Thank you / Redirecting…” screen. (Config controls coming next.) Email-stage builder: Configure the email sent after a Finance Assistant enquiry. Disabled enquiry fields are omitted from the email. Panel title Post-submission email. Quick-Start​

Quick-Start authors per-lender badge text, colours, and orientation defaults. Show preview toggles the iframe. Status: No changes or Unsaved changes — use Save / Cancel at the top of the page. Quick-Start config ⓘ Badge types help. Defaults ⓘ Defaults help. Editor toolbar ⓘ About this editor.

The Style 1 / Style 2 / Style 3 tablist aria-label is Badge style. Defaults: Orientation (select aria-label Default orientation) hint Which orientation merchants see by default (unless they override on their tile). Options Horizontal badge / Vertical badge. Default position hint Anchor and pixel offset for each orientation. Use Preview orientation (above the preview) to see each layout live. The focused card shows Previewing.

Badge fields: Badge text (only {FLEXIBLE FINANCE} token supported). Logo source Badge logo 1 / Badge logo 2 / Badge logo 3 / Small lender logo (nav) (plus Lender logo 1 / 2). Shape Badge (2 rounded top corners) Pill (4 rounded corners) — Badge (2 rounded top corners) / Pill (4 rounded corners). Text colour scheme Scheme 1 Scheme 2 (Scheme 1 / Scheme 2). Show small lender logo on the left of the badge text. Text colour override Use lender default / Background colour override Use lender default (Use lender default). Font family override (CSS value, blank = use lender default) (placeholder e.g. 'Roboto', sans-serif).

Merchant position / shape overrides stay on FOS settings and Quick-Start badge.

Regulatory disclosure​

The accordion Regulatory disclosure mounts the small-print inspector. Source of truth is finance-container.js (templates + runtime toggles) and the lender *-logic.js rules. Logic source links: finance-container.js (p) and finmatch-utils.js (p). Classes & templates (env p) shows Disclosure text (template) or Regulatory (template) / Eligibility (template). Disclosure schema (static elements): Eligibility text, Lender text, FinMatch data disclosure, and (Propensio) Non-regulated FOS disclosure. Empty: No eligibility text found in lender logic. / No lender text found in lender logic. / No data disclosure text found in lender logic. Non-regulated hint: Used when merchant Finance Offer Summary template mode is non-regulated. Feedback suffix appended at runtime when enabled. Default FinMatch links: Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Credit product → disclosure mapping (empty No disclosure mapping available.). Propensio: Note: 14.9% APR products are excluded from this mapping. Excluded (14.9% APR). Unmapped credit products. Mapping rows use Regulatory & Disclosure text, plus Rep example text, Combined disclosure, and Credit Products.

Humm/Snap grouping: Eligibility and Regulatory. Rule not available for this lender yet. Groups Non Regulated Credit Products, Regulated Credit Products, and Snap Pay in 4 Credit Products. Humm rule: Unregulated if APR is 0% AND term is ≤ 12 months. Regulated otherwise. Snap rule: Group 1: Unregulated if APR is 0% AND term is ≤ 12 months. Group 2: Regulated/interest-bearing otherwise. Group 3: Pay in 4 products (special Snap variant).
