Finance offer summary template mode

Open Finance Offer Summary Settings from App → Features → Finance offer summary cog. Expand Finance offer summary toggle and embed settings. The control is Template mode with ⓘ How template modes work.

Dropdown options (exact labels):

• Auto - price template when a price is detected, otherwise no-price
• No-price template (always)
• Non-regulated template (always)

Changing the select dirties the page. Click Save settings to publish. Reload discards an unsaved pick.

If FCA status is Not authorised, the select is disabled. Title: Locked: merchant FCA status is Not authorised. Red note: Locked to Non-regulated template. This merchant's FCA status is Not authorised (see the Merchant card on the profile page). The template mode cannot be changed while that status applies, and Partner API responses exclude products / rep examples.

Copy strings for each template still live on the merchant-detail Finance Offer Summary card, not on this Settings page. Field-by-field map: Finance offer summary settings.

Where to find it

1. Open a merchant → App → Features → Finance offer summary cog → Finance Offer Summary Settings.
2. Find Template mode under the embed settings accordion.

Templates themselves (the copy strings) are edited on the merchant detail Finance Offer Summary card. Partner API quotes need those profile strings even when Finance offer summary enabled is off. Partner API quotes.

Modes

Mode	Use when…	Renders
Auto	Default. Adapt to the live page.	Price template when the storefront detects a page price; otherwise the No-price template.
No-price (always)	You want a static line everywhere (footer, CMS, articles).	No-price template on every page.
Non-regulated (always)	Merchant must not show APR, options, or monthly figures.	Non-regulated template on every page. Tokens limited to {FLEXIBLE FINANCE} and {Learn more}.

Auto and price detection

For Auto to pick the price template, the storefront must detect a price on the page. That uses the same selectors as pay monthly messaging (productSalePriceSelector, productPriceContainer, collectionSalePriceSelector, etc.) under Pay Monthly Message Settings → Prices (and Pages for which page types inject).

If no price is detected for the embed’s page type, Auto silently falls back to the no-price template.

FCA status lock

If the merchant’s FCA status is Not authorised:

• Template mode is forced to Non-regulated (always) and disabled in the UI.
• merchant-api re-applies the lock on every profile and runtime-config save.
• Partner API returns the non-regulated summary only and an empty products array. It may still include deposit_adjustment when the requested deposit is below the merchant floor.
• The storefront SDK skips env and shared rate-card downloads.

Learn more chooser

The chooser opened by the embed’s Learn more link is filtered to lenders configured in the FOS Lenders field (when non-empty), and further restricted to lenders with a calculator or modal enabled for the current page type.
